A place to get together
Start with your UK mobile number, accept the consumer terms and name your workspace. Invite people you know as staff members. Your phone number stays out of the ordinary member directory.
Free is permanent, with no card and no automatic subscription. One owner can bring together up to 25 staff members in one private group, with direct messages alongside it. Ordinary members cannot invite people. Only the owner can invite staff, and each invitation is tied to the invited person’s mobile number.
Recent conversations, without a permanent archive
Free history lasts three calendar months from each message, so you always have a recent conversation history. Older content disappears from the app, search and attachments. Upgrading cannot restore expired history.
Free includes no Microsoft 365 archive or Replay. It has no Recorded archive badge and no promise to file messages into your own tenant. A call still shows its recording indicator: its capture is used for transcription and an AI summary when processing succeeds. Call recordings and internal transcript files are removed from active storage after processing, or after 24 hours if processing cannot complete. Voice notes are not transcribed and follow normal history retention. Recovery copies expire under the storage backup and recovery policy.
Manage it from the app
Phone/passkey sign-in gets you into your conversations. After signup, you can choose to set up a passkey when you first open your workspace on a supported device. You can also add one later in Settings, under Account & sign-in, then Sign-in. Passkeys are optional and do not replace your owner recovery key. Invite and manage staff from People. If your owner access is missing on this device, open Invitations and owner access in People and restore your saved owner recovery key. Change your workspace name and manage your plan in Settings. Open Live Support in your chat list to ask our team a question or share feedback, without leaving your workspace. Support conversations are private and expire after three calendar months. Keep the owner recovery key you receive at signup: possession of your mobile number alone does not grant ownership on a new device.
When your organisation needs a lasting record
To upgrade, the owner links a verified Microsoft work account from workspace settings and contacts ComplyChat to arrange the paid plan. Linking alone does not start billing. Every paid plan adds Microsoft Teams and a lasting record in your organisation’s own Microsoft 365 once the archive is connected and filing. A ComplyChat associate can invite your organisation directly into a sales-led evaluation. You do not need to start on Free. These evaluations support email magic links as well as Microsoft sign-in. Your associate manages the evaluation; the expiry of a sign-in link does not end it.
UK-hosted messaging
Core messaging storage and processing run in UK Azure. Supporting services, including SMS, push notifications, live-call routing and maps, may process outside the UK. A paid organisation’s archive resides in its own Microsoft 365 tenant. Read the service-by-service details.
